How we work…
Our greatest strength lies in our ability to engage with people of all ages to come up with good ideas and an understanding of how to take these ideas forward into works of art of a very high standard.
Consequently, we are sometimes contracted to carry out consultation projects, which might require surveys, meetings and workshops; a feasibility report; a set of proposals and exhibitions.
Example: Rochdale-Milkstone Road Project (take-away art kit)
Another area of our work is carrying out artist residencies. Most often in schools, we are frequently asked to work on a programme of workshops to achieve specific aims and objectives above and beyond the artwork itself that is produced.
Just as important to us as workshop programmes are special one-off bookings and commissions. We are regularly invited to take part in local events such as the Longford Park Festival in Chorlton, The Chorlton Arts Festival, The Garden of Delights in Platt Fields, Fallowfield and other annual festivals. In summer 2004, Tracey and Karen created ‘Moulin Rouge’ – a set of can-canning fibreglass cows for the international Cow Parade event.
